St Michael and All Angels is a lively, inclusive Anglican church and a beautiful sanctuary of peace in the centre of Ōtautahi Christchurch.

We are an Anglo-Catholic parish seeking to renew people for their lives in today’s world through rich worship, spiritual formation, engagement in the arts and music, and acts of compassion.

Whatever your faith, background or beliefs, you are welcome in this place.

Fr Peter Beck presided and Dr Imogen de la Bere preached at the 10am Mass. The sermon focused on the life of Fr Henry Darwin Burton, who initiated the Anglo-Catholic tradition at St Michael's and went on to found St Saviour's Church in St Albans, UK. The Gospel reading was taken from Matthew 5: 1-12.
